Kit Kat Chocolatory: A Chocolate Lover's Stop in São Paulo

Kit Kat Chocolatory (Instagram) opened on October 8, 2019, inside Shopping Morumbi. Here, they offer sixteen different flavors of Kit Kat chocolate (think banana, coconut, mint, pistachio). We found an article mentioning eighteen at one point, though two were apparently out of stock at the time — a concept already popular in Tokyo, London, and Toronto.
This is the first store of its kind in Latin America, and it also includes a Nespresso coffee bar with blends designed to pair with the chocolates.
Kit Kat was first launched by Rowntree’s in England back in 1935, and has been owned by Swiss company Nestlé since 1999, which brought it to Brazil in January 2012. In the United States, meanwhile, Kit Kat is manufactured by Hershey’s.
You can buy miniatures to sample, gourmet gift boxes, and the classics — a great stop if you’re a fan of the brand or just love chocolate.
By late 2020, several kiosks selling mini chocolates had popped up around São Paulo, though none compare to the original store — if you want to try the different flavors, we’d say it’s well worth buying one of each.
Another tip: you can also design your own chocolate bar, choosing the filling and even printing your own photo on the Kit Kat wrapper. Since we were in a hurry, we didn’t ask about this option ourselves.
We bought fifteen different flavors and ended up liking all of them, though the classic flavors remained our favorites.

Other Kit Kat Chocolatory locations
The brand has been expanding across the city, with locations popping up in several São Paulo malls, both as full stores and smaller kiosks. We know of locations at Shopping Center Norte and Shopping Higienópolis, and we’ll update this post as new ones open.
